WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - Hy-Vee's campaign to help local food banks through out the eight state region surpassed their goal of $1 million. The funds raised will be distributed between 17 Feeding America affiliated food banks.
Director of Public Relations for Hy-Vee Christina Gayman told KXCV/KRNW that Second Harvest Food Bank in St. Joseph received $16,000.
Since the start of the campaign in March, up to its end in May, Hy-Vee matched each donation up to $500,000.KXCV-KRNW
